Week 1 of my May poetry series starts with our first flower lesson:
Every beautiful garden starts with planting a few seeds.
If you’ve ever spent time walking around a garden marveling at the variety and beauty of all the flowers and plants, you might skip thinking about what it looked like before everything bloomed: an empty patch of dirt, not a green shoot in sight, just a barren landscape.
But under the surface, the seeds were planted. And over weeks and months, they slowly and steadily transformed. So can you.
Take some time this week to explore the seeds you’ve planted or want to plant in your life and describe what you find with words, art, or photos. I’ll be sharing what I come up with grounded in the prompts below. I invite you to do the same!
